Attendant & Personal Care Services
ATTC, PCS and HCA each provide essential help with daily living activities, so you or your loved one can stay safely and comfortably at home.
Guardian Care is here to help you get the resources and support you need so you can provide support with compassion and clarity.
PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT FOR DAILY LIVING ACTIVITIES
Attendant Care Services (often called ATTC) provide non-skilled, hands-on assistance for individuals who need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) due to age or disability.
Home and Community Assistance (HCA) provides assistance for instrumental daily activities (IADLs) to individuals in their home.
Indiana’s Health & Wellness waiver and the PathWays waiver are eligible.
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) support includes:
- Bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Safety supervision, medication reminders, and bill assistance
- Transportation to non-medical community activities
Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) support includes:
- Dusting, straightening up furniture, mopping/vacuuming
- Laundry, changing linen and making beds
- Washing windows, removing trash
- Meal planning and preparation, completing errands, minor pet care
Personal Care Services (PCS) fall under the same umbrella and often overlap with attendant care. They support independent living at home while ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity.
